    Synopsis

    Granite Man
Mariah MacKenzie returned to her family's Rocky Mountain ranch determined to reclaim a life she's longed for. Cash McQueen was a distraction she didn't need, a temptation she didn't want—but the only man tough enough to be her guide on a bold quest for a legendary treasure. Cash's passion for prospecting didn't run to beautiful women…anymore. Until Mariah made him want to believe again in something more precious than gold…
    Warrior
Wildlife biologist Eden Summers arrived in the Colorado Rockies with one thing on her mind: researching the local cougar population. Used to living and working alone, she had handled threats from nature's fiercest predators. But Nevada Blackthorn, a rancher by trade, a warrior by nature, was a breed apart. And Eden was having a hard time fighting her attraction for a man with a heart and soul as wild as the wilderness that surrounded them.

    Biography

Elizabeth Lowell has written a variety of genres under a variety of names, some with her husband Evan Maxwell and some on her own. But it is her romance novels -- starring the romantic, swashbuckling Donovan family -- that have been her biggest solo success.

March 02, 2009: Elizabeth Lowell is one of the best writers and it was great to read the two stories contained in this book. They were stories previously written but well worth reading again.

November 01, 2008: Granite Man was not my favorite story by Elizabeth Lowell. It seemed to be missing something. It started out really good, but by the ending it seemed to far fetch for me. Cash is man who has been hurt badly by a woman. He is very insecure and judgemental when Mariah shows up at her family's ranch looking for her brother Luke. Cash and Luke have been friends for years and now Luke is married to Cash's sister. Mariah was taked away from the ranch by her mother when she was just a child. When she shows up looking for Luke she finds Cash instead. They get involved in a heated relationship only for Cash to doubt her when she tells the truth.

Warrior is one of my all time favorites of Ms. Lowell's. Nevada Blackthorn is a hard, dark, wild, warrior looking to protect the cougars that are on the Rocking M. Eden has come to the ranch to study the cougars to make sure they aren't dangerous. She discovers that Nevada is more dangerous to her heart. This story is as HOT as the snow is cold!

I would tell you to buy the book for 'Warrior' alone. It is most definately worth it! A must buy!

I Also Recommend: Fire and Rain and Outlaw.
