      May 07, 2006: I read a lot of category romance but every once in a while an author just jumps off the page as better than all the rest. Like Suzanne Brockmann did and Linda Howard and even Janet Evanovich when she first started. This author is like that -- really a gifted writer and a great storyteller. These characters are so real and so sweet, you can't help but root for them. The hero is a former baseball player with an attitude and the heroine is a woman who had a childhood crush on him, and let herself make the biggest mistake of her life years ago. As they come to grips with 'the sins of the past' the reader is sucked in and falls in love with them. I want more, Ms. Claire!!!
