      Synopsis

Nalini has wanted to be a writer for as long as she can remember. As a child, when she wasn't daydreaming, she was scribbling her ideas down in her notebook. Somewhere along the way, she figured out that a writer was as close to a professional daydreamer as it was possible to get. Writing then became her main career choice. However, a somewhat unexpected practical streak had her attending university and graduating with degrees in English literature and law (as spots for professional dreamers are scarce).

Nalini worked in a law firm for almost two years before she sold her first book. She took it as a sign that "The Call" came the day before her 25th birthday--it was the universe's way of telling her that the time was right for her to change careers from law to writing (though some of her friends suggested that she might be indulging in a quarter-life crisis). However, she is deliriously happy with her decision to follow her lifelong dream. Despite the fact that the 21st century is supposed to be hip and sophisticated and way too cool for love, Nalini believes in love and hope and forever, because without those things, this world would be a cold place. She's delighted to be writing books that celebrate romance.

In the next few years, she intends to shamelessly indulge her desire to write and to travel the world, including possibly taking up residence in another country for a short time. According to her, it's all grist for the writer's mill.
