May 02, 2002: Mother's Day is an anthology featuring 'three stories celebrating motherhood and love.' The first story, 'Nobody's Child,' is a reissue of a popular novella by Emilie Richards. Loner and lonely cop Farrell Riley brings an abandoned child to new foster mother, Gemma Hancock. Together, baby Mary and attractive, single Gemma, draw Farrell into a relationship that develops into a real family. The second story, 'Baby on the Way,' is a new one by Marie Ferrarella which features a hero and heroine who have both lost someone critical to their lives. Madeline Reed is a widow about to give birth in her car. J.T. Walker is a widowed policeman who arrives in time to deliver the baby boy. With the help of the baby, Madeline and J.T. forge a relationship strong enough to convince the two grieving spouses to give love a second chance. The last story, 'A Daddy for Her Daughters,' is a new one by Elizabeth Bevarly and a real gem featuring a unique premise and a cast of non-stereotypical characters. The hero, lawyer Sloan Sullivan, is forced by his employer to participate in a volunteer month activity -- in his case, being the assistant basketball coach for a financially-strapped high school. The heroine, Naomi Carmichael, is the head coach for the team -- a girls' basketball team to Sloan's chagrin. The divorced Naomi, a rare heroine who is both sexy and in her late 30s, has four daughters who charm the perennial bachelor. Suddenly Sloan's looking forward to his volunteering as well as his dinners with the irresistible Carmichael clan. When Sloan falls in love with their tempting mom, it looks like Naomi has found A Daddy For Her Daughters.
