September 01, 2002: I found "Lady and the Scamp" to be a good read. The author's fresh sense of humor, coupled with her indepth description of each character, brought you into the story. I'm sure we have all met the "Scamp" in our life, as well as the Lady who tries so hard to gain the approval of her parent, yet falls short time and time again. I felt the author was probably exposing a little of herself as all good authors do. I give this book four stars, only because being a first work, and with the talent that is certainly yet to be totally revealed by this new author, to give it a five star rating would be unfair to her. When she blows us away with her first full novel, I'm sure to give her the five star treatment. Keep writing Candy, and God Bless..The Roving Poet..
