August 19, 2001: Nick Taggert has been framed for murder. When he is found guilty he freaks and makes a break for it. On his way out the courthouse door he gets shot and takes the nearest newspaper reporter hostage. Shea Sinclair's always cast as the weather girl but today she's got a big break covering the trial of Nick Taggert. The jury is in and she's waiting right outside the courtroom door when sexy Nick Taggert comes limping out and grabs her. Using her as a human shield he forces her to help him escape. So...what's a girl gonna do when she's got a gun to her head? She fights for her life of course ... but this cutey pie is too strong for her. He forces her into her car and the escape is very touch and go with some close calls. Shea Sinclair also realizes this abduction just might be her big break into the guts of real journalism reporting. Something she's ached to get into but her cutesy face has always gotten her cast in the weather girl role. When Nick Taggert offers to let him go she decides to stick around and do some serious snooping into who the real murderer could be. Hot on His Trail is a fast paced 'nice' romance. A good read if you appreciate a good 'on the run' romance. Reviewed by Jan Springer, Romance Author
