March 28, 2001: Setting: Huntsville, Alabama Present Day Grace Madigan has moved back to Huntsville to try to get over her ex-husband Ray whom she divorced six years before. Having lunch with him every other week talking about anything but their past was beginning to work. Then Grace was jogging on morning and witnessed a murder, barely escaping death herself she ran straight into Ray's arms and what feels like home to her. Ray Madigan never understand why Grace divorced him, he was a police officer before they married, so why was she so upset after he had been shot a few times. It didn't seem to bother the other two ex-wives but then Gracie was his first wife and the wife of his heart. Now she needed his protection from a murderer but could they have anything other than just good sex together without Grace running again. Grace and Ray couldn't seem to keep their hands off each other but how could they have a future if Ray was planning to go back to undercover police work. Grace had tried to explain to him why she couldn't be with him when his work was so danger. Now with Ray having to live with her until they could find who was trying to kill her she didn't know if she could let him go again but then Ray wasn't talking about a commitment and love again, he was just talking about scratching each other's itch. MADIGAN'S WIFE is a little different story where the hero, Ray even though he is torn up after his divorce goes out and tries marriage two more times. Being friends with all of his ex-wives seems normal to him, in fact wife number two wants him to give her away at her wedding. Ray has no problems with his other ex-wives remarrying but not his Grace. Grace tries to explain to Ray what was wrong before she left but he couldn't or wouldn't understand. If you're looking for a bitter hurt hero and an emotional torn up heroine, you will not find them here. Ray and Grace are a delight when they finally start talking and loving, throw in the two other wives and at times you will be laughing.
