    Synopsis

Amanda Barker had to have firefighter Josh Marshall. With his sexy body, killer smile, and incredible reputation as a lady's man, he'd sell a million of her fund-raising calendars. But Josh wasn't cooperating, and he wasn't playing fair....

If there was one thing Josh knew, it was that where there's smoke there's fire. And Ms. Amanda Barker was smokin'. Over and over, he'd refused her requests to pose for a calendar, but she wouldn't take no for an answer. And neither would he when he laid out the rules: he'd agree to meet her needs, if she agreed to meet his....

December 15, 2001: The last book by Lori Foster in the Men To The Rescue series from Harlequin is Mr. November, but it?s a read that is satisfying any month of the year. Josh Marshall is a Lieutenant on the local Fire Department, and his reputation as a Casanova stretches far and wide. While he takes his job very seriously, his time spent on developing a lasting relationship with a woman needs some work. So why is it that when standoffish, but oh so hot Amanda Barker approaches him to pose for a sexy firefighter calendar, he reluctantly agrees in exchange for a meal or two with her? Amanda is the Chairperson of fundraising for the Burn Victims Unit, and though Josh does NOT like the idea of flaunting his body in or out of his Bunker Gear, he?s intrigued enough by her to take it off in the name of Charity, and a chance to ruffle Ms. Barkers feathers a bit. But Amanda has a painful past. Years before, something happened to her that made men like Josh off limits. Yet her attempts to keep it strictly business get harder every day as Josh?s charms pull her closer and closer to surrender. He?s set his sights on her, and unbeknownst to Amanda, it?s her secretiveness that draws him like a moth to the flame. For every evasive answer, he?s more determined to find out what makes this woman tick, and maybe in the process, figure out why he has such a need to know. The very thing that drew Josh to such a dangerous job in firefighting is what draws him to Amanda; his need to protect and to help those souls who can?t help themselves. Will Amanda open up to him, and help her move on from the memories that cause her such anguish? It?s a wall between them that he?s determined to break through. The question is...can Josh do it before the fundraiser is over, and Amanda moves on to another project and perhaps out of his life? Ms. Foster has sparked a three-alarm blaze with all three books in this series. Starting the fire with Caught In The Act, then fanning the flames with Treat Her Right, and finally creating a Wildfire with Mr. November, her stories depict men who are true heroes. Mick (Caught In The Act) is a cop, Zack (Treat Her Right) is an EMT/Paramedic, and they are Josh?s best friends. Josh?s antics when they were courting THIER loves makes payback sweet as they watch him go from a chasing skirts to chasing the one woman who could quite possibly steal his heart. Ms. Foster?s male characters are depicted as larger than life, but all are grounded with the bonds of family, friendship, loyalty, and love; all the things that make up the perfect romance hero. One can only hope this author continues to create more characters like Josh Marshall to offer avid readers! Congrats to you, Ms. Foster! Mr. November is a great read from start to finish!

November 26, 2001: Josh Marshall has to be Lori's hottest, sexiest hero so far! When we met him in the previous 2 'Men to the Rescue' books, he was a cocky ladies man always razzing his buddies for falling in love. When he sets out to 'turn-the-tables' on Amanda Barker for harrassing him into posing for her charity fireman calendar he nevers imagines that he'll fall in love with her. But when he does, he goes all out to claim her as his own. Amanda has a traumatic memory from her past and this keeps her from allowing men to get close to her. Josh is incredibly patient in trying to find out what haunts her and to make her realize that they belong together. As all Lori's great books are, this one is filled with endearing love, hot love scenes, great sensual moments, and a story that stays with you long after you put the book down. This truly was her BEST book so far!
