March 07, 2007: The Story of Gayle and Taylor Conway ~ Throughout the book, Gayle Conway, wastes a majority of her time clinging to senseless arguments because she is too much of a coward to embrace a happy, fulfilling life with a man that loves her immensely. He is a wonderfully loving husband who is a recipient of her unwarranted hostility. If I could, I would reach out and take him for myself. Her amnesia does not justify her cowardice or her cruelty. Her current actions are a model of past behaviour. The author does a fabulous job hinting at a potentially reprehensible act that may be the impetus behind the protagonist's amnesia. The stress of keeping one particular incident a secret, due to miscommunication with her husband, keeps readers on edge. The story was not too bad, but the author tends to drag the suspense on a bit too long.
