May 16, 2001: Her attorney Taylor Anne Larson tells Matty Brennan that her Flying W Ranch is in financial trouble due to poor estate planning. The lawyer suggests selling some of the property, but being the last of her family, she refuses to sell out her ancestors. Instead, Matty decides to sell out herself by offering to marry Dave Currick so she can receive a financial grant. Dave and Matty negotiate, but in reality, he is pleased she turned to him.

At their wedding, Dave kisses Matty in such a way that she can hardly breath. She realizes she still loves the man who dumped her six years ago and believes he loves her too. So why did he drop her the first time around and why is he agreeing to marry her now?

ALMOST A BRIDE is a fun to read ranch romance that stars two lively characters. The story line may follow sub-genre guidelines, but it retains freshness due to the interrelationship between Matty and Dave. Be on the lookout ?s next tale in ?The Wyoming Wildfire? series, MATCH MADE IN WYOMING.
