    Synopsis

Joss San Pietro was raised a gentleman but was cruelly betrayed. Held captive and enslaved, the proud man's fate now rests in the gentle hands of an extraordinary lady—Lilah Remy, a beautiful pampered daughter of privilege. For a strange destiny has cast them together on tempestuous seas, and shipwrecked and alone they must courageously face desperate trials and dangerous truths—and a bold, forbidden love that can only blossom in paradise.

    Annotation

The cruel code of her plantation society forced her to renounce the man she could never forget. Lilah Remy would marry another, her days filled with anguish, her nights with torment. But Joss San Pietro had vowed to possess the woman whose beauty haunted him and enslaved his body and soul! Original.

June 10, 2009: I love Karen Robards, I think that her writing style is amazing. Desire in the Sun is a historical romanance, of all her books I think I enjoy her historical romances the most. Desire in the Sun is about two people who fall in love at first sight, they are challenged every step of the way when secrets come out. During a storm down the coast of North America the two are stranded on a deserted island, their passion and desire grow stronger as they struggle for survival as well as the survival of their love.

July 30, 2007: I loved this book so much. I think it's one of my all time favorite books. This is the first Karen Robards historical romance that I've read. I couldn't put it down. I really loved Lilah and Joss, their story made me cry a couple of times. My favorite part of the book was when they were on the deserted island. This book has a great plot, a lot of adventure and two great leading characters. I don't think I'll ever forget this story. I loved the ending! Such a perfect ending to a great story. I can't wait to read Ms. Robards' other romance novels.
