    Synopsis

After arriving in New Orleans-escaping from a tragic past-the virginal beauty falls victim to a series of strange, unearthly attacks. And for the first time in her life, she aches with sexual desire. Now Natalie is confused, frightened, out of control-desperately struggling to understand a world that is transforming around her. But soon she will be powerful and magnificent in ways she could never have imagined . . .

Detective Rene Broussard knows the hot young woman in despair is trouble. But something about Natalie intrigues and intoxicates the ruggedly handsome Cajun policeman who has come to her rescue in her time of greatest need. And when he inexplicably wakes in bed beside her-both burning with a lust impossible to deny-he doesn't care that a dark and vengeful enemy has brought them to this moment. All that matters is the irresistible curve of her body, the heat of her passion . . . and the forbidden pleasures the night promises.

With one sharp, sensuous, biting kiss, he will be hers for life . . . and beyond.

February 17, 2008: I am an avid reader of paranormal romances and I realize that there is graphic sex in the majority 'maybe all' of them. I began reading this book knowing that there would be sex in many scenes. I did like the beginning of this book and the plot but starting with the first sex scene, it spiraled downhill into the porn realm. I'm not sure the book deserved a 3 star rating, because I was so disappointed, but I rated it 3 star because the plot was a good one. I was so disappointed because I wanted to like the book. I liked the characters, Natalie, Rene, and Chessa. I even liked Nicolas and Simon. But I would say that 1/3, possibly 1/2 of this book is filled with graphic sex. The ending left this story wide-open for a sequel but I don't think I am interested. So if it's porn you want, by all means, this is the book for you. But if you want an action filled story, go elsewhere. I much prefer MaryJanice Davidson, Lynsay Sands, and Katie MacAlister.

August 09, 2007: To Debby: If you don't enjoy erotica, don't read it. It's not fair of you to leave poor feedback for a great book, just because adult language and sexual situations give you the vapors! This is a teriffic read, and I highly recommend it.
