From the Publisher
This classically organized regional atlas is based on the strikingly colorful yet realistic illustrations of the world-renowned Sobotta Atlas of Human Anatomy. Hallmarks of Dr. Clemente's atlas include its bright and realistically detailed illustrations, the wealth of accompanying diagnostic images, and numerous muscle tables.

Dr Clemente belongs in the ranks of the great living anatomists of our country. I recommend this lovely book for the health profession.

This atlas has been one of the more popular references for students of anatomy for the past 20 years. This fourth edition continues to expand on that excellent tradition. The atlas succeeds at providing a comprehensive survey of regional anatomy through hundreds of excellent labeled illustrations, many of which are based on the original Sobotta collection. Students in medical, dental, or any other health professional school will find this a particularly useful reference for their studies of anatomy. This includes residents in postgraduate training. The atlas is divided into seven sections covering the various regions of the body. Each part begins with a detailed listing of the figures found in that section, which facilitates locating appropriate illustrations. The figures and illustrations are accompanied by labels and leader lines that have been improved from previous editions. The addition of 135 new figures has further increased the value of this atlas as a study guide and a reference. Finally, the author has added charts on the origins, insertions, innervations, and actions of individual muscles, which further enhances the value of the atlas as a study guide. This new edition is a significant improvement over previous editions. The breadth of content and quality of the illustrations make it an excellent reference and a worthy addition to the library of any student or health related practitioner seeking a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy.
