December 28, 2004: This book was utterly stunning. From the first page Mr. Kemp had me drawn. He has vivid and gritty detail that captures the environment and setting like no other. His characters are dark and flawed, chased by ghosts of the past, and each is well-drawn and uniquely figured. The author really knows how to keep a reader turning pages, truly wondering what would happen next, and utterly indulged in the characters. Pick this book up and you won't regret it.
