    Synopsis

In the year 2010, computers are the new superpowers. Those who control them, control the world. To enforce the Net Laws, Congress creates the ultimate computer security agency within the FBI: the Net Force.

It's the rich man's drug of choice-and it's being sold on the internet for a thousand dollars a capsule. A potent mixture of smart drugs, psychedelics, angel dust, and steroids, it can turn a fifty-year-old into a raging beast of aggression and sexual desire. Now, it's up to the Net Force to find the source of this dangerous designer drug. Before another murder. Before another rape. Before every user self-destructs...

A powerful examination of America's defense and intelligence systems of the future, Tom Clancy's Net Force is the creation of Tom Clancy and Steve Pieczenik.

    Biography

Known for originating the techno-thriller genre, Tom Clancy writes complex novels dense with hardware and international intrigue. Perhaps the strongest indication of his power as a writer is the fact that he is often treated by the media like a character in one of his books, asked for opinions about military readiness and the subject of rumors about being debriefed by the Pentagon. Not bad for a former salesman who was rejected for service because of bad eyesight.

July 14, 2004: This was my first Tom Clancy book (well, okay, not technically because it was written by Steve Perry and created by Clancy and Steve Pieczenik). I picked it up at a garage sale thinking if I got bored, it might pacify some time. After the first SENTENCE, I was absolutely hooked. I didn't put it down until I was finished. The character development is great, and the storyline is very well established. I have since read the rest of the Net Force series and am now making my way through the Op Center series! If you like a good combination of sci-fi, romance, action, and crime drama, you will LOVE this book!

November 09, 2002: One of the best books I have ever read. Thres alot of sex, drugs and violence but I think this would make the best movie in the world. Very suspenseful plot that makes the reader question and predict.
