    Synopsis

About three things I was absolutely positive:
    First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him–and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be–that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife -- between desire and danger.

Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

    Publishers Weekly

In our Best Books citation, PW called this tale of a teen attracted to a vampire, a "riveting first novel, equal parts suspense and romance." Ages 12-up. (Sept.) Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

November 28, 2009: I think this book was an excellent romance read! I love the authors writing ability when it came to Edward and Bellas romance. It makes you crave a deep and pure love as this. I know for sure I will want to re-read this book. It is a book you can't put down and makes you crave to know the characters more and what is next in Edward and Bellas encounters.

November 28, 2009: I have heard many things about this book way prior to it becoming a movie. I had picked it up many times at the bookstore and decided I would never read it. Once they started talking about putting this book into production, I decided to give it a chance. I bought it and didn't read it for a few months, than one night I couldn't sleep and decided to start reading it. I decided in my mind I would give it a 100 pages to be good and if not I would stop reading. I started it and didn't put it down until I had finished the entire book. Forget sleep and forget the next day, I was hooked. I bought the second book and read it the next two days and so on. These books are fun, captivating and perfect for the hopeless romantic everywhere. I have to admit trying to explain what it is about can be embarrassing. But all I have to say is don't knock it till you have read it. There is a reason everyone is obsessed. Give it a try. You might suprise yourself, like I did.

I Also Recommend: Twilight [Original Soundtrack], The Vampire Diaries #1-2, The Vampire Diaries #3-4, New Moon, Eclipse.
