    Synopsis

Enter a new dimension of health! For years, Americans have been told that fat is the dietary enemy. Now, after eating less fat and more carbohydrates, we have become the fattest people on earth. Sears explains why, identifying the real enemy and presenting a simple plan for lifelong fitness and health. Discusses the "Zone-favorable" diet in relation to chronic disease, exercise, hormone production, more.

    Playboy

Sears' advice flies in the face of conventional wisdom, but recent studies support his radical theories, and his credentials are solid. ... It simply takes us back to the good old days, before carbo-mania swept the land.

November 22, 2009: Excellent resource. After years of seeing doctors without releif, the supplements and dietary instruction greatly improved my quality of life and relieved, if not discontinued, the most problematic symptoms. Fairly easy to understand even if you do not have a background in science.

July 24, 2003: I first encountered the 'Zone' nearly eight years ago, when introduced to the idea by a family doctor. The foods can be expensive, but Trader Joe's makes is very easy to get most of the foods you need. I've lost 25 lbs since January (6 months), with very little effort, and of that time, I spent nearly 2/3 of it not following the diet closely. When on the diet, I find I am much more energetic, heal faster from colds and bruises, and generally can think better. This isn't a diet, it really is a way of life.
