X: The Erotic Treasury -- If there's only room for one book on your bedside table, this should be it.
The reigning mistress of erotica, Susie Bright, has expertly chosen 40 of the hottest stories ever written: breathtaking new stories as well as the most sought-after stories from The Best American Erotica series. Designed in a "gotta-touch-it" slipcase with a cloth-covered book, the package cultivates the quality and taboo satisfaction of the stories themselves. Luminaries like Carol Queen and Robert Olen Butler contribute to the stories about all kinds of lovers: heartbreakers, foxes, maniacs, romanticists, hell-raisers, and utter bandits. This delicious collection is certain to satisfy.
Susie Bright is a respected author, activist, performer, lecturer, audio show host, sex guru, teacher, and mom. She founded the first women's erotica book series, Herotica, and edited The Best American Erotica series from 1993 to 2008. She resides in Santa Cruz, California

May 18, 2009: I wanted to purchase this book based on the past volumes edited by Susie Bright. She consistently selects stories which are well-written and intriguing, even if sometimes a bit bizarre for pedestrian tastes. Each of these tales is as sexy as promised, and none of them are boring or poorly written. Also, for those who haven't seen this book in person, the presentation is perfect for a man's birthday or Father's Day gift! It is a hardback, bound in luscious black and red silk with a pseudo-antique floral print, and housed in a lovely sturdy slipcase (to prevent damage to the cover.) Any person who receives this book will know that you were thinking of him -- in a very personal way! Also, as with the other Susie Bright-edited volumes, several of the stories, although erotic, have a definite comic twist to them. Never boring, always entertaining!

April 06, 2009: Purchased this book, which was recommended by Women's Health mag, for a fun to-do with my hubby. The stories are not only poorly written, but a majority of them are just plain disgusting (and I'm not prude!). I think the editor who chose these stories should get a psych-eval.
