Word Play is fantastic for beginning readers!by BreakfastatTiffanys

March 23, 2009: I was in the market for books that would be similar to "Dick & Jane" for helping my 5 year old with her sight words. She is in preschool and will head to Kindergarten next year. This set of little books is perfect. She enjoys the stories and feels so proud of herself because she is "reading" to me or her siblings. The small books are pocket sized like her, and they store so neatly in the sleeves of the larger book. We also enjoy the flashcards that came with the set. Thank you Nora Gaydos, Mary Sullivan and Innovative Kids for giving parents this great teaching tool!

March 06, 2009: I would recommend this for preschoolers and kindergarteners. The sight word stories make it interesting and fun enough to read to kids and for them to read on their own.

There is also a place in the back of each book for kids to practice writing the sight words in each story.
