September 10, 2006: Even if you enjoy the 'feel good' aspect of a story of a dog with no front arms, we must look at this work as a piece of writing. And as a piece of writing, this is terrible. It REALLY needs editing, and any editor worth his or her money would have said 'please focus on something! Please make this a narrative!' This book is a good argument for why self-publishing is a bad idea.

August 29, 2006: I read both reviews before buying this book and agree somewhat with each one. The typos and poor grammer (with regard...not regards)aside, we must take our hats off to anyone who takes the time and energy to provide a home for a disabled dog. I think the line the author included about her father telling her 'she speaks her mind and sometimes her mind should tell her to shut up' was dead on. I was also disappointed in the fact that only about 10% of the book is actually about the dog. The rest of the book dealt with the unfairness of the world according to Jude.
