November 08, 2005: This is a really good book for anybody wishing to gather more knowledge about Sir William Wallace. While I found it rather disparaging that the book exposed historical inaccuracies of the movie Braveheart, I gained a whole new appreciation for Wallace. Staying true to his beliefs, even in the face of the nobles abandoning him in favor of the 'kings peace' (if that was ever possible) is quite remarkable. A patriot to the end and trully lived by the motto: 'dico te verum, libertas optima rerum' (This I tell you truthfully, freedom is the best of all things).
