    Synopsis

With more than four million copies sold, Wifey is Judy Blume's hilarious, moving tale of a woman who trades in her conventional wifely duties for her wildest fantasies-and learns a lot about life along the way.

Sandy Pressman is a nice suburban wife whose boredom is getting the best of her. She could be making friends at the club, like her husband keeps encouraging her to do.

Or working on her golf game.
    Or getting her hair done.

But for some reason, these things don't interest her as much as the naked man on the motorcycle...

    Michiko Kakutani

If Mrs. Blume's chatty, vernacular style results in quick, digestible reading, her characters' penchant for psychobabble makes the reader feel as though he were paging through the latest self-help text....Mrs. Blume's women come across as narcissists - virtually incapable of talking about anything except their emotional needs and desires. As far as this reader is concerned, they're not smart women, but self-absorbed ones - and highly unpleasant, at that. -- New York Times

    Disappointed.....by AllieBNY

August 10, 2009: This book was recommended through a friend who knows I tend to like my delightfully trashy romance novels, especially in the summer. I must say though that I was very disappointed in Wifey. While the book does have a relatively "trashy" storyline, I just could not get myself fully into the book. There are a lot of flashbacks that occur which made it difficult to follow at times because it jumped around. Definitely not a favorite for me.

I Also Recommend: Boy Next Door.

June 30, 2007: Long story short I was a very advanced reader at a very young age and while now if I read this book I wouldn't be that impressed. At the age of 9 this was a very tantalizing and eye opening book. I will always remember Wifey by Judy Blume as my VERY FIRST ADULT BOOK.
