"When I was little, I could hardly do anything. But now I can do lots of things, like braid my own hair and go to nmusery school. I'm not a baby anymore. I'm me!"Jamie Lee Curtis and Laura Cornell perfectly capture a little girl's simple, childlike celebration of herself, as she looks back on her childhood from the lofty height of four and a half years. This spirited view of growing up is perfect for the youngest readers.
A four-year-old describes how she has changed since she was a baby.
Her rollicking enthusiasm is infectious, especially in the joyous, chaotic, colorful watercolors
More Reviews and RecommendationsJamie Lee Curtis loves big words but doesn't know how to spell many of them. She adores her family life, which includes the amazing Annie, the miraculous Tom and the hilarious and loving Christopher. She advocates for children around the world and appreciates her friends, family and colleagues. She lives in stunning and sunny southern California with her rotund dog, Frances.

October 26, 2009: Can't say enough good things about this book and others by Jamie Lee Curtis. I've purchased nearly all of her books for my grandchildren. The stories are clever and insightful and the illustrations are awesome in each book. Reading them with the children is just pure fun!
I highly recommend "Is there Really a Human Race" -- wonderful story with a moral. I used it with an adult audience too.Reader Rating:

July 09, 2002: I bought this book for my 4 year old and we both love it. It is fun to read and she likes reading about how she used to be a baby, but now she is a big kid! The text is fantastic and the pictures are so funny! It is one of the books we always pull off the shelf.
