    Synopsis

Jake Oliver's What's the Connection? is a hilarious and enlightening new trivia book that challenges readers to figure out the connection between a list of seemingly unrelated items. Each mini-quiz lists 4 or more things with no obvious link; the reader must then access all those sections of their brain that hold weird and/or unnecessary knowledge to see if anything lights up. Then, turn the page to discover the connection! Adding to the trivia collector’s enjoyment are Oliver's Factamazoids, text boxes that further elaborate upon a fascinating aspect of the topic. And for true trivia wizards, Oliver has added SuperConnecter sidebars pose truly diabolical connection quizzes.

What's the Connection? is the ultimate pop culture (with a dash of high culture) contest.

    Biography

Jake Oliver is a playwright, performer and freelance writer. His writing has been praised by The New York Times as, "proudly silly and prurient, broadly satirical and filled with sensationalistic gags that would shock your grandmother" and by Paper Magazine as, "goofy, raunchy, diabolically clever… truly Pythonesque" (Best of Theater in NYC August 2005). Jake’s astonishing, first-hand experience in the world of temporary office employment can only be described as vast, absurd and heroically tragic – even tragically heroic. In 2005, Jake received a $5 Häagen Dazs gift card from the Barbara Davis Employment Agency of Red Bank, New Jersey for his perfect work attendance for the month of June. Jake is a graduate of Oberlin College and Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where he earned a BFA in Theater as well as a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Originally from Boston, Jake lives with his wife and daughter in Leonardo, NJ.
