Walks in Hemingway's Paris is the perfect companion to the most romantic and fascinating of cities for those who want to experience Paris beyond the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. Covering all the area of Paris that Hemingway and his fellow expatriates once roamed from Left Bank to Right, Noel Riley Fitch provides an intimate visit to major Parisian landmarks as well as to out-of-the-way cafes, hotels and residences immortalized by "Papa" and his friends.
With this guide, the explorer can follow Hemingway's footsteps from his first day in the city in Decenber, 1921, when he settled in the Sixth Arrondissement with his bride, to his last meeting with Gabriel Garcia Marquez in 1957. Combines up-to-date information with literary history and biographical anecdotes. Photographs.

July 24, 2003: Good book if you would like to get a little off the beaten path but still see mainstream Paris. It's neat visiting the places Hemingway did, seeing where he wrote some of his finest novels.
