November 21, 2009: This is a funny engaging book that helps the students "stick" the words in their brains. The students can see the relevance of the words throughout the day in other classwork. This really helps the students relate to the words to better understand them. Finally, the cartoons really spark some good classroom conversations. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fresh way to improve their students' vocabulary.

August 02, 2009: I highly recommend this book. I used it with my fourth grade students this year and it was amazing how many words they learned! The cartoons are funny and effective, and my students were highly motivated to learn the words.
