Synopsis

The mansion on top of Benson Hill has been empty and boarded up for years. But a new family has moved in. A family that never ventures out during the day. Who are these creepy people –– especially the handsome, dark, and elusive Alexander Sterling? Or rather, what are they? Could the town gossip actually be true? Are they vampires?

Raven, who secretly covets a vampire kiss, both at the risk of her own mortality and Alexander's loving trust, is dying to uncover the truth.

Ages 12+

Annotation

Sixteen-year-old Raven, an outcast who always wears black and hopes to become a vampire some day, falls in love with the mysterious new boy in town, eager to find out if he can make her dreams come true.

Publishers Weekly

"Readers don't have to share goth girl Raven's passion for vampire lore to appreciate her misadventures in Dullsville," according to PW. "The girl's ill-fated flirtation will bring more laughs than heartache." Ages 12-up. (Aug.) Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.

November 30, 2008: i loved this book! Raven is really funny and sarcastic and i loved how it seemed like she was the only normal person in the town that she calls dullsville. i also liked it how you want her to be with Trevor and also with Alexander but more with Alexander then anything else. I right now i just found out that their probably going to make a movie!!!??? just go to the authors website or else go to youtube.com and typr in Vampire Kisses to see the maybe trailor. i think that thier useing the actors from hannah montana. Jake and mileys best friend what ever her name was. even thiugh i hate that show if theres going to be a movie i will watch it cause the books so good!!!

I Also Recommend: Kissing Coffins (Vampire Kisses Series #2), Vampireville (Vampire Kisses Series #3), Dance with a Vampire (Vampire Kisses Series #4), The Coffin Club (Vampire Kisses Series #5), Just Listen.

August 19, 2008: I love this book. And Alexander, he's shy and really nice, and REAL! More real then any guy. If only he was more realistic in flesh. Raven is the only GOTH is Dullsville, till the Sterlings buy the creepy cool mansion that Raven loves. She has small encounters with the mysterious goth guy until he invites her to his house for dinner. There she falls for him. And wants him forever. But...stupid Trevor gets it the way, and hurts Alexander really bad by using his love for Raven against him at the Snow Ball(dance) This book is so awesome READ IT!!
