September 04, 2008: I?ve been speaking Spanish for about 4 years now using the Learning Spanish Like Crazy CDs, but using what I?ve learned in a foreign country can still be a little intimidating, so I usually rely on a Spanish dictionary when traveling. I had one I really liked, but lost it on the bus, so I decided to try the Vox Compact Spanish and English Dictionary. It?s a really good product and contains a huge number of definitions ? something like 85,000. In addition to the usual vocabulary, Vox also has a section on idioms. Other things I liked were the inclusion of synonyms for all the definitions and the verb conjugation charts. Being a bit past my prime, I also appreciated them using a font size that was readable. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into this dictionary. It?s an extremely professional product.
