    Synopsis

In this completely revised 25th anniversary edition of his highly acclaimed book, Donald B. Kraybill explores Jesus' Upside-Down Kingdom. The kingdom of God announced by Jesus appeared upside-down in first-century Palestine. Jesus wins by serving and triumphs by losing. Moreover, the kingdom of God still looks upside-down as it breaks into diverse cultures around the world today. Translated into six different languages and selling over 60,000 copies, this book calls us to faithful discipleship.

September 18, 2003: This book will knock you socks off. It's just the teachings of Jesus, plain and simple, but it explains cultural things that the average Christian would not know, but that are essential to finding Jesus's true meaning in his words. Perfect for a true disciple of Jesus who is tired of the lukewarmeness of mainstream christianity and wants to get out of his or her convenient Lexus cage and follow Christ for real.
