      Synopsis

A cause for celebration: a new series from the author of the Prince trilogy.

For the Emperor of Colymbyana, no bride can compare to Sanura, an exotic slave with the power to see into men's souls. To touch her brings incredible pleasure—and certain death. Even for his brother, who loves her ardently. This is their story.

December 06, 2009: I bought this book because it was going to be something different and that is what I got. I had to make myself read this book just to get to the end. I ordered all of the books in this series but after this one, I had to return the others. The woman was a little conceited and the man was a little unpredictable considering that he has a personality disorder. It was a little annoying. The story line kept jumping also to another couple on which I still don't understand where they came from, but it didn't matter. I did a lot of skimming after that happened. The only thing that was interesting was the child in the book and the connection that she had with her.

May 10, 2009: This is my 1st time read for author Linda Windstead Jones. It is an easy and fast reading book. The kind of book where you can't stop turning the pages. Very sensual and hot romance between Sanura and Alix. The secondary story between Laris & Verity was just as enjoyable. This book is a for sure keeper and nice addition to my library. I can't wait for her next book in this new trilogy, Emperor's Bride.
