When rejection comes back to bite you...
Jordan's life sucks. Her boyfriend, Michael, dumped her, slept his way through half the student body, and then killed himself. But now, somehow, he appears at her window every night, begging her to let him in.
Jordan can't understand why he wants her, but she feels her resistance wearing down. After all, her life once a broken record of boring parties, meaningless hookups, and friends she couldn't relate to now consists of her drinking alone in her room as she waits for the sun to go down.
Michael needs to be invited in before he can enter. All Jordan has to do is say the words....
Vampire romance turned to horror with each turn of the page. Jordan's life bites, literally. Jordan dumps Michael and then watches him rebound by sleeping his way through half the student body while she rebounds by drinking herself into a stupor, doing drugs, and sleeping with the other half of the student body. Then to make matters worse, Michael kills himself, but then somehow appears at her bedroom window after dark begging her to invite him in. Afraid of leaving her house after dark, Jordan turns to drinking alone and ignoring pleas from her friends to rejoin them at parties. As the months pass and the alcohol and drugs consume her nights, Jordan believes that inviting Michael into her bedroom will ease her pain and suffering. Little does she know that inviting Michael into her bedroom destines her to a life far worse than alcohol and drugs. In most contemporary vampire novels, the author allows the reader to "like" the vampire but not Ms. Marrone. This vampire is the one that plagues our nightmares. While the ending of the novel has redemptive qualities, the heavy use of alcohol, drugs, and premarital sex in this novel should prohibit this novel from appearing in the collection of middle school and conservative high school libraries. November 25, 2009: I really liked this book, i thought it was gonna be another Twilight but Micheal just wanted to really have Jordan for dinner. Micheal is dead or undead obviously, Jordan broke up with him because she didn't like the i guess attention from school, In the school world they just don't match well, i guess. Micheal was popular and Jordan is the insecure, as Micheal would so a nobody. The break up was hard on Jordan. Michal being the "stub" that he is just moved on. Then Micheal "dies."So now Micheal is at her window telling her to let him in, he loves her. I was always yelling at Jordan in to book. i wanted to freak'n karate chop her or something, because i was so MAD at her. It was kind of funny to me. I mean Micheal had her cooped up in her room. She couldn't go ANYWHERE. Unless she was stupid drunk(which happens) Uninvited is one of my favorite books. It ended so fast. You'd be suprised how it ended. Its a really good book. I'm thinking about reading Revealers by Amanda Marrone.

October 24, 2009: Okay, I first read this book after i finished reading the twilight series. I got interested in vampires, and i wanted to read more about them. Okay, so i read the first chaptr online and i thought it was pretty good, but the reviews said that the book was horrible. Unfortunately, i didn't listen. I bought the book, read it, and then I almost burned it. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! The main character-Jordan-is an alcholic with MAJOR problems. I didn't mind the alcoholic part so much because she was a troubled teen, but i mean come one!!! That girl didn't have an once of confidence or self-esteem!And in the end, (that's what really got me upset) she ended up STAKING her un-dead boyfriend! I mean, i thought it was supposed to be a romance, but i guess i was wrong. The author apparently seemed to have been high while writing this book. PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU'RE A VAMPIRE LOVER!!! IT WILL DISSPOINT YOU 'TIL NO END!!! I will always regret reading this book. A complete waste of money. It was the worst book I have ever read in my life.
