May 22, 2007: Miranda and Jared should have never slept with other people, 'one downfall of all of Ms. Small's stories--inevitable infidelity', because the way he loved her and the way she responded was lovely. Then they get torn apart to make way for other, less interesting experiences than eachother...I was disappointed that they did not get more time to be happy together in the beginning, but he always loved her no matter what, which made this, my first Bertrice Small read, a relatively fascinating one overall.

May 15, 2005: I've been a huge Bertrice Small fan for some time now and this book was a bit of a disappointment to me. I liked Miranda but I did not like Jared. Towards the end when he becomes this huge womanizer you almost hate him. I know I did. Personally I would have liked to have seen something more happen between Miranda and Prince Mirza. He was so honest in his love for her, and I really liked him from the first time they met in St. petersburg! Overall, this book was not my favorite but i am glad I read it.
