I thought Twisted Creek was a wonderful book. It was a nice change from most romance/mystery books I've read.It didn't have sex in it, which makes it a book that ANYONE can read, no matter what your age is. The author couldn't have done a better job on describing things just enough to draw your own picture in your head without going overboard. I hope the author continues with a series of these charactors. I think each charactor has a good story line to be told.I couldn't put the book down!!

Although switching from first to third person was a tad annoying for me, I did find the book to have some mystery and fun secondary characters.I was a little disappointed in the romance department though. Jodi Thomas didn't quite give the pages her usual steam.

I very much enjoyed reading this book and watching how the motley crew of characters got along together as if they were family protected each other as if they were family. I enjoyed the uncertain relationship between Allie and Luke, the love between Allie and Nana. By the time I finished the book, I was wishing that there were more in a series so that I could visit with these people again.

A Good Read

This is the first Jodi Thomas book that I have read. If you are looking for an enjoyable, lite, airy, read then this book is for you. A good book that doesn't tax your brain with a lot of twists, turns and in depth character analysis. The perfect book that you can put down and easily come back to without having to try and remember plots, sub-plots, etc. I am looking forward to reading another book by this author.

The Texas attorney sends a registered letter informing Allie Daniels that her Uncle Jefferson recently died and she inherited his estate. Although confused since has no Uncle Jefferson, Allie sees this as a good luck opportunity to start anew taking her beloved Nana with her.-------- Allie and Nana relocate to the Texas lake community of Jefferson’s Crossing. She quickly falls in love with her new home however, she lives in fear that she will be exposed as a hoax and unceremoniously run out of town. Her biggest fear is her attraction to Luke a drifter whom she believes will be the one to learn the truth about her. Luke is attracted to the newcomer, but his prime mission is to uncover who is using the nearby abandoned cabins as a meth lab.--------- TWISTED CREEK is a fine contemporary romance starring two likable lead characters, a wonderful Nana, and several eccentric Texans. Interestingly the warmer relationship is between the grandma and granddaughter even with the growing love shared by Allie and Luke which is fun to follow as he tries to hide his mission from the two newcomers. Although the suspense comes very late, fans will enjoy this Texas two step romance.------------ Harriet Klausner
