    Synopsis

About three things I was absolutely positive:
    First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him–and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be–that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife -- between desire and danger.

Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

    Publishers Weekly

In our Best Books citation, PW called this tale of a teen attracted to a vampire, a "riveting first novel, equal parts suspense and romance." Ages 12-up. (Sept.) Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

November 24, 2009: I was an original fan of this series having read it after the second one came out. As I reread 1-3 and then read the 4th one I began to realize how horribly written it was. The writing style was as if a kid in middle school or high school wrote it. I thought the storyline was certainly unique but poorly executed. It dragged on and had too much repeated detail. I must admit I am a fan of vampires that burn when the sun hits them, not sparkle.

November 23, 2009: When Bella Swan a shy, slender, part albino teen must move from her home town, a scorching water deprived desert also known a Phoenix, Arizona to a overgrown town called Forks she is not the happiest camper in the woods. She despises the town of Forks,Washington until she meets a gorgeous un-human like figure named Edward Cullen. Lets just say they didn't hit it off from the beginning, Bella tries to figure out why Edward has such hostility toward her but doesn't until she goes to La Push with some friends. There she meets Jacob Black, a native Indian to the lands. They get to talking when Jacob tells Bella Swan a story of how the Cullens are Vampires. This got Bella thinking and soon figured out that Edward is a vampire. Throughout the story Bella and Edward fall in love but must keep it a secret due to their circumstances. Throughout the story you see a young love blossom while watching Edward and Bella face life-changing obstacles they must overcome. The major theme of this story is about making choices in life and following the right path. Bella must choose between many different things and the choices she makes change her life forever. This story is a must read and I recommend it for all ages both boys and girls. I did not want to read this book at first because I did not think I would be entertained but a vampire love story. I kept telling my friends no thank you I am not into that kind of reading. Well I sure was wrong. Once I picked up this book it was hard to put down. Every page leads on to something more important and fascinating so you just have to keep reading. I am not a big reader myself but I loved this book and will read the rest of the series. In this book I liked the fact the story took place in a small town where everyone knows each other. I also like the relationship Bella and Edward have and that a man hunting vampire cannot take them away from each other. The drama that occurs in this play makes you keep wanting more and more and more. One thing I did not like about the book was that it was predictable and you knew what was happening next. You should read this book because it makes you feel like you are apart of Edward and Bella's relationship and you fall in love with all of the characters. Overall I would give this book an 8.5 out of 10. If you like love stores you will love Twilight, it's a great book and everyone should have the chance to read this best seller.

I Also Recommend: New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn.
