Synopsis

About three things I was absolutely positive:
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him–and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be–that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

“I’D NEVER GIVEN MUCH THOUGHT TO HOW I WOULD DIE– I’d had reason enough in the last few months –but even if I had, I would not have imagined it like this. . . . Surely it was a good way to die, in the place of something else, someone I loved. Noble, even. That ought to count for something.”
When Isabella Swan moves to the gloomy town of Forks and meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. With his porcelain skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and supernatural gifts, Edward is both irresistible and impenetrable. Up until now, he has managed to keep his true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret.
What Bella doesn’t realize is the closer she gets to him, the more she is putting herself and those around her at risk. And, it might be too late to turn back. . . .
Deeply seductive and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight will have readers riveted right until the very last page is turned.

Mandy, a huge fan of vampire stories, 07/28/2007

When I started at a new school in Fort Collins I wasn't widely accepted. This came as a shocker because I always found it easy to make friends, but during the year i found Twilight I had fallen upon hard times. It helped me get through those times because I not only read this book once but several times. I became a bit of a Book worm that year and was always at the library or barnes and noble. I found twilight one day when my mother had pointed it out. I picked it up with little interest and began reading it there in the store. After just 20 pages i was captivated. I loved this book from the very begining. It took me less than 2 days to finish it and This was before the sequal was even close to coming out. I had to wait almost 2 years until New Moon came out so I could continue. Edward has my heart. My friends now find it funny when I say I'm in love with a fictional vampire. They occasionally give me an awkward eye. haha Anyways I love this series. THe stories keep me going and Stephanie Meyers is a Terrific writer.

Also recommended: New Moon, Cut, Smack, You Don't KNow Me, Guitar Girl, the A-List Series, THe Georgia Nicholson Series, The Perks of being a Wallflower, Speak, etc. etc. etc.
