    Synopsis

About three things I was absolutely positive:
    First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him–and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be–that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife -- between desire and danger.

Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

    Publishers Weekly

In our Best Books citation, PW called this tale of a teen attracted to a vampire, a "riveting first novel, equal parts suspense and romance." Ages 12-up. (Sept.) Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

December 04, 2009: I read Twilight before having kids and it was one of my favorite books at the time. The romance between Isabella Swan and Edward Cullen is full of innocence and tribulation, but I was hooked by the realism Stephanie Meyer created. I always wished the minor characters were a little better developed, but I liked them anyway. I look back at this book with a lot of fondness and recommend it to any reader -teen or adult- looking for a touching love story, especially one with paranormal themes.

I Also Recommend: Kindred in Death (In Death Series #29), Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series #1), Submissive.

December 03, 2009: The novel, Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer is an outstanding book. The conflict of this book brings fantasy to reality. The writing will leave you craving more and more. The first chapter will get you hooked to find out what will happen to the romantic yet bloodsucking relationship between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. This book won't leave your hands; it will be embedded into your fingertips until you get to the very last page. The way that the author writes this book leaves you anticipating what will happen next.

When you read Twilight, you might get a second look on things, you might wonder if maybe vampires are real? The plot is interesting and attention grabbing, it is very addictive. Once you start you won't be able to stop! When you get to the end, you will want to reread it over and over again, wanting more!

The relationship between Edward and Bella shows the true passion that they have for one another. They risk each other's lives for one another. The emotions and love that they share is unique but real, you will want to capture every word that they share. If that isn't true love, then what is?

Twilight is defiantly a page turner! The unique tale is very descriptive with very great word choice. This book shows you that anybody can be loved, no matter if they are different, or simply a vampire. There is good in everybody if you believe in them the way Bella trusts and has belief for Edward. This book exceeds standards! Twilight makes you bloodthirsty at each page! Every page will leave you thirsty for more!
