    Synopsis

Everything fans want to know about the hotly anticipated Twilight movie and much more!

Designed as a celebration of the film, this lavishly illustrated paperback edition is an exclusive behind-the-scenes guide featuring full-color photos of the cast, locations, and sets, as well as storyboards, interviews, details of the special effects, and much more.

    Children's Literature

Stephanie Meyer created a whirlwind sensation with the "Twilight" series, novels originally inspired by a dream of "…girl and a handsome vampire." The movie version of her story line was made with a good deal of influence from her and the novels themselves. Author Vaz has written about "the making of…" other movies and several TV series. He gives readers an "up close and personal" view of how the novel was transformed into a cinematic feature. Vaz interviewed the director, Catherine Hardwicke, and the various actors involved in the production. He gives excellent insight into her vision for the film. She allowed the Pacific Northwest weather to become an integral part of the film—reflecting the world of Twilight. Vaz writes of the origins of the characters and the story line with enough details to engage the reader but not so exclusively as to obscure the filmmaking techniques and details of the behind-the-scenes production efforts of creating the film. Every page has gorgeously photographed shots of the actors, sets, locations, clothing, make up, special effects, etc. Anyone interested in filmmaking would find this a close look at the enormous amount of work and talent encompassed in making a film of this caliber. Fans of Twilight will appreciate yet another look at their beloved characters. Reviewer: Sheilah Egan
