    Synopsis

    An All-New Drake Sisters Novel

Bewitching rock superstar Joley Drake can have any lover she wants. But when her life is threatened, her dangerously sexy bodyguard is the only man she needs. There's just one problem: his shadowy reputation as a secret Russian hit man may put Joley in even greater peril...

    Kristin Ramsdell - Library Journal

Gifted with amazing musical talents, rock-'n'-roll star Joley Drake seems to have it all: fame, fortune, and the adulation of her fans. Enter a predatory preacher, a missing 13-year-old, and an evil Russian mobster, and there is more trouble brewing than Joley can handle on her own. Her only hope is Ilya Prakenskii, a lethal, powerfully gifted bodyguard who can keep her safe but is also her greatest danger as she tries to resist the intense attraction that links them. A talented, conflicted heroine and an alpha hero who is not what he seems are thrown together in an uneasy, breathtakingly sensual alliance in this darkly lyrical romance that is the sixth in the "Drake Sisters" series. Feehan (Predatory Game) lives in Northern California.

    TOO DISAPPOINTINGby Anonymous

November 19, 2008: I HOPE CHRISTINE FEEHAN IS TOLD ABOUT THESE REVIEWS. NOT TO MAKE HER FEEL BAD, BUT TO MAKE SURE THAT ELLE AND JACKSON'S STORY WILL BE WORTH READING. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS BOOK. JOLEY TURNED INTO A BIG WIMP, THE OTHER SISTERS WERE NON-EXISTENT AND THE RELATIONSHIP DIDN'T HIT ME AS ANYTHING ROMANTIC OR SEXY. I AM RE-READING ALL THE OTHER SISTER BOOKS AND JOLEY IS SUCH A STRONG CHARACTER IN THOSE BOOKS. LIKE ANOTHER READER SAID, IT IS THE HOUSE, COMBINED WITH THE SISTERS RELATIONSHIPS WITH EACH OTHER THAT MAKES THESE BOOKS WORK. THE MALE CHARACTERS IN THE OTHER BOOKS ALSO SHOWED A LOT MORE VULNERABILITY THAN ILYA. I REALLY, REALLY HOPE THAT THE LAST BOOK FOR ELLE WILL NOT TURN HER INTO A WIMP LIKE JOLEY AND THAT CHRISTINE FEEHAN WILL BRING ALL THE SISTERS BACK TOGETHER AGAIN.

September 16, 2008: I have read all Christine Feehan's books in both the Drake sisters as well as her 'Dark Series'. The premise of the house that serves as a guardian, the power of the sisters and all the twists and turns of their relationships have kept me intrigued. Unfortunately, Turbulent Sea was missing the elements that made the previous books so memorable. Joley was portrayed in a much more shallow light than in previous storylines. This book while being an okay read, was lackluster in comparison to Feehan's other works.
