This is a great book for the Mom who doesn't believe in tough love and that kind of crap.by Anonymous

December 24, 2008: My mom gave me this book, she used it when I was a baby. I loved it. Finally a book that gives practical advice on rasising your child with love and understanding. I never believed in letting her cry it out, or over disciplining, and Dr Brazelton doesn't either. He gives you advice on how to help your child and teach them skills to comfot themselves without causing a lot of crying and sadness. I used many of these techniques with my daughter, and she is an amazing 3 year old. She is very smart and loving and we get compliments all the time of how sweet she is. Her teachers love her at preschool and everyone who is around her is immediately charmed. I owe a lot of it to this book and Dr. Brazelton and his ideas and techniques. This is a great book for a mom who wants to teach their child love and compassion.
