    Synopsis

Fifty years after Frank Lloyd Wright’s death, he is widely hailed as a genius who has exerted more influence on design than any other twentieth century architect. His lifelong quest to “break out of the box” and create organic architecture—relevant to its place and time, alive with natural light, and integrated with its setting—inspired him to realize innovations that were far ahead of his time. The Wright Experience springs from this great designer’s passion for beauty, truth, harmony, creative adventures, and the “mother art” itself.

    • A new retrospective of Wright’s career.
    • Stunning images by specialists in architectural photography.
    • Frank Lloyd Wright’s own artwork.
    • An illustrated timeline covering all of Wright’s built work—more than 500 structures—and biographical details.
    • Annotated floor plans demonstrating how Wright used space in new ways.
    • A beautifully designed volume embodying Wright’s dictum that “form and function are one.”

May 02, 2009: The book is huge!! Larger than average... making the pictures larger than average as well. Because of their size, you can see an extraordinary amount of detail in the photos of the spectacular interior spaces Wright created.
