      November 09, 2008: This book was amazingly helpful! It taught me so much about photography competitions, but most of the information it gave about the competitions is also very applicable in day to day shooting. It is jam-packed with practical advice. I have read several library books about photography and this was more helpful than any of them, especially when it comes to photography competitions and stock photography. It is an enjoyable read, well written and in a concise manner.

      In the second half, the author put together a huge list of photography contests with details such as entry fee (if any), deadline, who can enter, what the prizes are, etc... This alone makes the book worth it if you are into competitions. The most helpful for me was the large section of tips from contest judges and other professional photographers. The list of places that award grants section at the end has proved to be very rewarding too. It is a great resource for anyone interested in photography contests! It comes highly recommended!
