March 28, 2008: I love that Diane Jessup has produced a book on her breed!! She, unlike many other authors of similar books, has been able to promote the good aspects of this awesome breed, while providing the reader with realistic ans helpful tips and info exclusively for their American Pit Bull Terrier. A great book for helping eradicate BSL.. I've placed one at the Shelter where I work, so that all the other ACO's can see the dog behind the bad breeding, and poor treatment!!

April 11, 2005: This book had excellent photos and information about the breed.I do think she should have put more emphasis on the sweet disposition, common sense way they conduct themselves, and possibly cautions to prospective 1st time owners. The only real problem I had was that she obviously feels disdain for certain breeds and for 'show' dogs(there are many that can still perform the duties they were intended for!),and that in an effort to show how wonderful this breed is, others are dismissed(there are a few other breeds just as versatile as APBTs - that is why 'they' are used so widely)as less 'admirable.'
