October 02, 2007: I started flipping through the book today and read from the back first. What can I say? It's an opportunity to breathe. Honest, straightforward, simple, easy, informational and moving. I'm not pregnant and I loved the whole section on how to fill a pantry so as to never go hungry. This is exactly what I need as a new cook and a new wife, not just a new mom. All the extra little tips that have nothing to do with the recipes - like having frozen waffles, canned beans, frozen veggies and fruit on hand and how to make quick and delicious snacks with these items - are priceless! It's really not so much a cookbook as it is a guide and structure for how to create a healthy and easy way-of-life. It's also like a private journal but not just of the author's life, but also of the lives of other women. As a new wife who will one day want to be pregnant and have a family, this book is a great guide to help me prepare my kitchen and my body! - GT

October 01, 2007: Heard about this from a friend of in NYC who's been to one of the author's seminars. The one thing am am constantly watching out for is how I eat, I used to give in to the cravings and go all the way and than regret. What I like about this book that it give me the variations based on how I feel so it is incorporated in recipes. Its great.... I have been using this book for the past two week and notices that my cravings have gone down I also notice that my weight gain has slowed down as well. Surprisingly it is very well written and I appreciate the tips and the stories from other moms as well. This book is much more that a cook book it is a pregnancy guide on how to eat and I intend on using if after I give birth as well. This definitely makes it to the must give pregnancy gift list.
