      Biography

      Dynise Balcavage has been cooking since age seven. The author of eleven books for young readers, she has published recipes in Herbivore and Végétariens (France’s first vegetarian magazine) and is a contributor to VegNews. She’s been featured in the New York Times and International Herald Tribune. Dynise volunteers for Philly PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) and is an activist for several animal rights organizations. Readers may visit her blog at urbanvegan.net.
