March 30, 2009: I first saw this book at an inn in Vermont. As a new knitter, I had many questions. After I bought this book it answered all my questions and many more. Now I don't have to pester my friends and neighbors who knit, or, wait until I can get the answers. It's all in here.

December 18, 2008: Its a fabulous book! Its my go to reference for any knitting problem I have. It taught me basics like how to pick up a dropped stitch and more advanced techniques like cabling and lace. Clearly written, concise and comprehensive. I am not sure it would the perfect book to teach yourself from, but coupled with online tutorials or a friend who knits, I think its doable.
