June 26, 2009: I was not really impressed with this book. At first, it gives you a dose of basic common information you probably already have made an educated guess about prior to reading. It gets boring as the pages go on and was just not my genre.

June 16, 2009: This book is a compelling and eloquent scrutiny of trends. Citing relevant examples in understandable prose without watering down the content, Gladwell artfully provides a portal through which to examine both human psychology and marketing techniques as he takes on the impalpable epidemic known as a trend. After reading this book, it is impossible to acknowledge new trends without secretly considering the circumstances that earned them so much popularity. Studying social, scientific, and economical stimulus for trends, Gladwell cleverly explains the birth and growth of such epidemics. Reading this manual is invaluable both to those seeking to begin a trend in business or politics, or to those wishing to truly understand the vastness of such trends and how to identify them. Supplying invaluable insight into the worlds of marketing and the human psyche, Gladwell will make you think twice before you jump into the newest fad.
