    Synopsis

Each little pig is confident that his house is the strongest. But the real question is, whose will survive the big bad wolf?

Beautifully illustrated, this classic tale will capture children's interest and spark their imagination page after page, encouraging a love of reading that is vital to success in school and life.

    Marilyn Courtot - Children's Literature

A hasty solution may often not be the right solution, as two of these little pigs learn. The three set out into the world and decide to build themselves homes. The first quickly grabs some straw and creates a shelter for himself. The second sees that that may not be a particularly sturdy structure so he uses sticks to build his home. The third little pig decides that he wants something that will truly hold up, so he uses bricks and mortar to construct his home. When a wolf is discovered in the area, the first two homes do indeed fail to provide the necessary security. The brick house and the cleverness of the third little pig, however, do stand up to the wolf's onslaught. It ends happily for all three. The illustrations are charming and this story will undoubtedly get repeat readings. A "Brighter Child Keepsake Story." 2002, McGraw-Hill Children's Publishing,
