Alex Rider has been through a lot for his fourteen years. He's been shot at by international terrorists, chased down a mountainside, and stood face-to-face with evil. Twice, young Alex has saved the world. And twice, he has almost been killed doing it. But now Alex faces something even more dangerous. The desperation of a man who has lost everything he cared for: his country and his only son. A man who just happens to have a nuclear weapon and a serious grudge against the free world. To see his beloved Russia once again be a dominant power, he will stop at nothing. Unless Alex can stop him first.
The phenomenon that is the Alex Rider series returns with pulse-quickening action as, for the first time, Britain's MI6 and America's CIA unite forces. Be glad Alex is on our side.

December 05, 2009: This is a very exiting book about a 14 year old spy, whose uncle was also a spy until he got killed. Then he was sent in his place. In this book he goes after a former military general named Sarov. He fought with a great white shark, he was shot, and he was almost killed by Sarov.

November 10, 2009: This book was better than the first two. It is the third book and the longest book in the series. This book had plenty of action and the ending was not what I expected. I think what would have made the book better if the characters didn't talk as long as they did
This story starts at Alex's school when he is playing a sport. While he was playing he had noticed the head of MI6, Mr. Blunt in the stands. When the game was over, Alex when to Mr. Blunt and they started talking. Mr. Blunt had asked if he wanted to go to Wimbledon as a ball boy but also being undercover. He was there to make sure no one was trying to do something there. While working he makes a friend named Sabrina a ball girl. He had stayed with her family for a little while. When he was with Sabrina's family he had gotten a rare chance to surf the cribber (a 25 foot wave in the ocean). When he came back to England he was talking to Mr. Blunt. He was telling Alex that he was going to help the CIA with on of their missions. When he got to the USA inside the CIA headquarters he was introduced to the two people he would be working with. Their names are Belinda Troy and Glen Carver. His objective was to go with Troy and Carver to Skeleton Key (a small island). It would look more like a family not spies that would try to enter since they had Alex. For Alex it would just be a vacation and doing the spy work would be left for Troy and carver to take care of. While Alex was there he was captured by a person named Sarov and told Alex that he was going to be his long lost son. Sarov's son was killed in the army and he was 14 just like Alex. Sarov's plan was to plant a bomb in his country and blow up Asia and most of Europe so he could make Asia how it used to be (strong, powerful). Ale had tried to escape the plane while they were in England for refueling but his planed didn't work the air port was bordered by barb wire fences in every direction. After that he was put back on the plane and handcuffed to his chair. Then he arrived in Asia.I would recommend this book to people only after they read the first two books. I'd also recommend to people that would not mind reading what people are saying.
