July 25, 2010: A relative recommended this to me, and while I am not a particularly religious man, I do enjoy reading other viewpoints and am fascinated by what makes people believe and do what they believe and do.
I think this book has great value for Sunday school classes and adult church book clubs. However, the writing style is simplistic and altogether transparent. Plot devices are strewn carelessly about. I would have gained more from thus book if it were written with less of an obscenely apparent agenda, and more as some kind of less preachy church lesson, for there were many, many fantastic twists and ideas throughout.Reader Rating:
