May 03, 2009: This is a must-read for all parents and parents-to-be. In fact, I think it makes a great baby shower gift. Not only does it have excellent information on why it is important to read to your baby/child, the second half of the book is made up of lists of read-aloud suggestions.

February 09, 2009: As I picked up this book and leanded about the author who is the chief editor of penguin group, I was drawn to this book and started reading right away. This book truly shows how important it is to read book to children in terms of education. Not just this book encourages parents and educators to read aloud but also it provides very practical mathods along with best practice implemented world wide.
